Fun Facts for “Seven Days to Forever”
Factoid One
This book has the most elapsed time between the characters meeting and the epilogue. Normally, my books cover a period of only several weeks, at most, with an epilogue occurring a few months later. This book's pre-epilogue timeframe covered several months.
If you tack on the three months later in which the epilogue takes place, this book covers the most calendrical timespan of all the books, by far.
Factoid Two
First book in the series to leave the United States.
Factoid Three
The only book in the series in which one of the main characters was featured in the previous book, but did not have any spoken dialog in that book.
Factoid Four
The only book in the series in which two consecutive chapters are from the same character's POV. (Ariel's)
Factoid Five
First book in the series with a person-of-color main character.
Factoid Six
The names of Vanessa's parents are also the names of one of my aunts and one of my uncles. Interestingly, however, the aunt is married to a different uncle, and the uncle is married to a different aunt. But I liked the way their names sounded together.
Factoid Seven
First book in the series that mentions a number in the title.
Factoid Eight
I own most of the plants mentioned in the book.
Factoid Nine
The walk Lani made along the beach from Carlsbad to Oceanside is only possible at low tide. At high tide the route is cut off by the ocean. Trust me, I know.
Factoid Ten
First book in the series to not mention U-Hauling.
Factoid Eleven
Originally, Ariel was going to be a fashion designer, and she was going to open her own clothing boutique in Carlsbad.
Bonus Factoid
A resort like the Rainbow Pearl doesn't exist on Tahiti. The island as a whole is considered to be a gay-friendly destination, and as such, an LGBTQ resort hasn't opened there. Yet.
